Shower, Eat, Sleep

I have not been blogging for a couple of days because I come home from junior guards and am soooo tired. When I come home, I take a shower, eat dinner, and then go to bed. Isn't that the best? Well, I have to stay awake tonight because I have plans, so I have time to write.

Junior lifeguards starts at1:00- 4:30. We do a lot of different activities like body surfing, running, and this pier orientation. the pier orientation was when we learned a little about the pier and then had to go underneath and hold on to the pillars. We have a lifeguard floaty thing and a safety aid with us. We move from pillar to pillar under the pier until we get deeper and deeper into the water. When we are over head deep, we get out of the water. The waves come and crash through the pier's pillars and we are somewhat protected and don't get thrashed around since we are hiding behind the pillars. This may seem like a pointless exercise, but it was to get us junior lifeguards more familiar with the pier since I guess we use it a lot?

whew....... That was long and confusing and hard to explain. Now I'm even more tired.

I'm Home

Yesterday, I got home from Girl's Camp. It was a very fun experience. One of my favorite activities was going on a rope course. The ropes were attached to the near top of a HUGE, TALL tree. We had a harness type thing attached to us with a rope. (Like rock climbing) Then, we had to climb about thirty feet up the tree. Once we got to the top of the tree, we had to walk on a rope to another tree. Of course we held on to another rope above our heads. I know that this is confusing... oh well. :)

Well, now I'm back, but extremely tired, so I'll be able to post again soon.

A Perfect Day

Yesterday I went to a summer kickoff beach party with a lot of my friends. It was an amazing day. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and the sand was super hot. On top of that, the water was almost 70 degrees and surprisingly clear.

Ahhhhhhhhh...

I think that you can assume how my day went. :)

Graduate

Yes! The day finally came! But one half of me did not want to graduate. It was sad seeing and hearing your teachers wave and then tell you goodbye. It was also sad to say goodbye to some students that you've known for three years while at middle school. It was strange that I was leaving a small school where everyone knows each other. It was weird that I would never go to Fulton again and that I am going to a brand new school with brand new people.

The other half of me is excited and happy that I am moving on to a school where I will meet many more friends and more teachers. I am excited that there will be many more opportunities and activities that will open up. I am also glad that I am becoming more independent and will have more freedoms.

Despite all of these details, I am grateful that this summer came and that I survived the challenges and loads of homework that middle school provides.
But I know that high school provides a lot more.

Tomorrow is the Last Day

As mentioned in previous posts, our 8th grade class took a trip to Disneyland today. We were there from about 9:30am to 5:30pm, 8 hours! It was soooo much fun.

We went on ten different rides.
Ten rides including Captain EO. That is VERY good for a VERY crowded day. My three other friends and I walked around together all day and now my feet hurt like crazy! Tomorrow is 8th grade promotion and the last day of school. I can't wait.

Did I say that I'm doing junior guards over the summer? Well I know that is random, but I had to squeeze that in there. :)
